The Connecticut Bride Nautical-Inspired Photoshoot
We could all use a little blast of summer right about now, and this nautical inspired shoot that we styled for The Connecticut Bride, provides us just that! Currently on new-stands, this All- American themed shoot was by far, one of the most fun to work on! It was shot in Essex Connecticut by a dream-team of talents!

Christine’s White Carpet Appointment
As you can tell from the images above, Christine’s White Carpet appointment on November 6th of last year was full of friendship, love, laughter and of course, beautiful gowns!The appointment began with champagne and tasty bites from Jordan Caterers. The bride then “popped the question” to all of her maids by presenting them with the sweetest little card we have ever seen. Christine had a stunning violet bouquet created by Blush Floral Design to compliment the beautiful dresses she tried on. We just adore the expression on Christine’s dress after she finds her perfect gown! After finding “the one”, the girls took some celebratory photo’s on our front porch- all captured beautifully by Abbey Scott Photography.

Jackie Kennedy Inspired Editorial Shoot For Gala Weddings Magazine
Our society has always been enthralled by the style and grace of Jacqueline Kennedy, and we are no different. It was a dream to style a shoot that was inspired by her wedding to John F. Kennedy. You can imagine my delight upon sitting at Anne Barge’s 2011 runway show and seeing a replica of Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy’s gown grace the runway!
Last fall, our design team was asked by Gala Weddings Magazine to style a shoot for the 2012 issue that is currently on newsstands. Our inspiration for the shoot were the two images below. The historic Bee and Thistle Inn in Old Lyme, Connecticut, proved to be the perfect back drop!
Dana Bartone was influenced by Jackie herself, as well as the beauty trends of the 1950′s in styling the hair and makeup. Tony, floral designer of the year, and creative director of Datura: a modern garden, created a decadent bouquet to accompany the gown. He also crafted a clutch made of flowers that was the piece de resistance of the shoot, for sure!
Candice Copolla of Jubilee Events, Ryan Designs and Datura: a modern garden created the elegant tablescape for the shoot. Having only seen black and white images of the wedding, they envisioned a pop of yellow against the subtle white and green of the flowers and hedged back drop. It was perfect!
The White Dress’ owner, Beth Chapman worked with designer Coren Moore to design this classic bridesmaid look that complimented Jackie’s gown beautifully. It was subtly influenced by what Jackie’s maids actually wore.
A Little Imagination Cakes created a beautiful confection that perfectly complimented the gown and the style of the shoot.
Our favorite part of the shoot was the going away scene! If only we could resurrect this traditon!
Photographer, Carla Ten Eyck captured every angle and every detail flawlessly. We think Jackie would have loved our interpretation, don’t you?!
