Last fall, Connecticut Bride asked our creative group to design a fashion spread for their magazine. We had been tossing around the idea of a Midsummer Night’s Dream photo shoot for some time– and quickly decided that this would be our muse! We were challenged with shooting at the end of October and making it appear like summer…but fortunately the foliage around the Manor was a soft pink, creating the perfect backdrop. Candice Coppola of Jubilee Events designed a shoot in rich colors of pink, green and purple, while incorporating the “mid-summer” feel by way of gorgeous flowers, garlands, and details. Our team came up with several different looks throughout the day that were loosely influenced by the classic play and other art forms. One of my favorite shots was inspired by one of Candice’s beloved paintings, The Swing by Jean-Honore Fragonard. Tony of Datura: a modern garden created a beautiful floral swing utilizing a wrought iron structure on the property of the manor. This shoot incorporated multiple models and many different looks! We were thrilled it was featured in the Spring/Summer issue of Connecticut Bride.
