Gorgeous weather, a loving couple and an elegant setting – what more could you ask for in a wedding? In our opinion, absolutely nothing.
Kayla and Brendon were wed at Wadsworth Mansion, the perfect backdrop for their classic, old-world celebration. Touches of blush, cream and gold adorned the venue, adding the perfect touch of elegance and sophistication to the occasion. And the most special part of all? The bride and her mother actually designed every element of the wedding! They worked tirelessly to make sure that no detail was spared and poured love into everything they did.
To top it all off, the couple ended the celebration with an extraordinary fireworks display to honor Kayla’s late grandfather. It was a touching time for everyone, and we are so happy that Justin & Mary were able to capture the moment.
We were captivated by each and every photograph of Kayla and Brendon’s wedding, and we weren’t the only ones! Their nuptials were featured in WellWed! Scroll below to take a peek at the photos – we know you’ll fall in love just like we did!

Pretty Post’s are always special and even more so when it is one of our own bridal stylists’ wedding! This post just takes it over the top for us, as this lovely couple is expecting their first child in a few short months. We are finally sharing Holly & Adam’s sweet wedding that took place last summer! Take a peek below for all of the pin-worthy inspiration from this creative couple.
Holly and Adam are both artists and have known each other for over a decade. Their wedding paired sweet sentimentality with unique creative touches set upon the backdrop of picturesque Mystic, CT where the two grew up.
Having both worked at Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters as Display Coordinators and attended the same college of fine arts, their heartfelt and handmade wedding was a true portrait of their lives together, infused with whimsical touches and heirloom details. They used all local vendors and paper as a common thread in kites, hearts, streamers and craft paper.
Having an intimate, casual gathering was really important to them, so they kept it small and had Holly’s grandfather, a Justice of the Peace perform the ceremony in his back yard on the bank of the Mystic River.
When it came time to party the pair invited all of their friends and family to a reception at The Boat House at Seaport Marine- thats right, a party right on the water. The fete was completed with a to-die-for brick oven pizza truck, starry Sperry tent, handmade decor and a down right funky band who call themselves ‘Folk, Yall’.
All in all, this wedding felt so much like Holly & Adam and we were so honored to be a part of their big day, just as we are to be a part of their next step in life as they welcome their baby boy into the world!
Congrats Holly & Adam, you two are truly special to us.

“I knew right from the beginning that I wanted my overall look for the wedding to have an romantic, old-world feel. A cap veil was in my head from day one, so I knew whatever dress I chose, had ‘work’ with that look. I tried on a handful of different style dresses at a few locations before I found the Jenny Yoo that was just right. It was the perfect backdrop for the look I wanted to achieve–it was classic and simple, yet still made me feel effortlessly glamorous and comfortable all at the same time.
I also had very specific thoughts for my veil, which I was having trouble finding both style-wise and in our price range! Penny was able to help me construct a completely custom cap veil—we played with the lace, length, and construction, until it was just right. Without Penny I never would’ve been able to get the veil that was ‘in my head,’ ‘on my head!’
That being said, I knew that when the veil came off during the reception, I would still need a little something extra to feel glamorous. After a long and unsuccessful search for a necklace that was substantial enough, I decided (a few days!) before the wedding, to use the beaded capelet from TWD. It was the perfect touch and I received so many compliments from our guests.
All the girls at TWD (and I think each one assisted me at point or another) were a complete pleasure to work with! I’m the type to weigh out and try on every option, and they were always incredibly helpful and accommodating. I miss my trips down to the shop!
I am completely confident that I had the most knowledgeable and professional ladies help me prepare for my big day!”
We loved helping create your fabulous custom look, Stacey! Congratulations to the lovely couple!

What is sweeter than a sunny day on the water, succulents adorning your ceremony, and the love of your life waiting for you at the end of the aisle dressed in a seersucker suit? In our eyes, just about nothing. We literally jumped with joy when we first spotted our bride, Sarah’s wedding in the latest issue of Bliss Celebrations. Scroll below to take a peek at these stunning Newport nuptials.
We love these images by Erica of Adeline & Grace Photography! They truly capture the taste and feel of this sweet couples big day!
Here is a brief recount from Sarah in regards to her wedding gown search:
“I had been dress shopping for a few weeks and had yet to find “My Dress.” I tried on a lot of beautiful dresses, but none felt like the one I would wear on my wedding day. The White Dress By The Shore was my next stop! My mom, sister and I pulled into the driveway of an adorable classic New England home. We were greeted by Jill who I connected with right away! Jill’s knowledge, exquisite taste, and honesty helped me say “Yes to the dress.” The dress was perfect. The layers and blending of different fabrics into the body of the gown embodied my passion for working with textiles in the interior design industry! The dress wouldn’t be complete without a full head to toe style by the White Dress, so Jill helped me pick out jewelry, shoes, and a drop dead gorgeous belt to add a little lace to the number!
Jill also assisted with the selection of the Ivy & Aster bridesmaids gowns and my Mom’s dress. The bright coral dresses that my girls wore were unreal. They were ethereal yet the color made them pop off my white dress!
Also I cannot forget to thank my talented seamstress Penny at The White Dress. She did a beautiful job tailoring the dress to my body, especially with all those layers!
I can’t thank enough The White Dress for being apart of our special day. You ladies made me feel like a princess from start to finish!”

Combining the spirit of the holiday season with one of life’s most special traditions melted our hearts in a way that not many other things have before. When we got a look at Kelly and Ryan’s winter wedding in Newport, RI our jaws simply dropped- the splendid decor, the chilly scene and the divine ensembles were nearly all too romantic for us to handle! We have kept these images under-wraps for nearly a year and are now thrilled to share Kelly and Ryan’s seasonal nuptials with our readers! Scroll through the images and read on for more details!
What a beautiful season-specific bouquet from Toni Chandler.
Coren Moore maids dresses hung with care…
We love how a copy of ‘Simple, Stunning Bride’ by our friend, Karen Bussen was in the bridal suite! Did you know the cover image was captured at our boutique and owner, Beth Chapman contributed to a chapter in the book?
Both brides and maids donned “getting-ready” robes from Beneath the Gown. Kelly’s custom robe was hand made by owner, Josie.
Although all elements of this wedding are simply spectacular, we of course cannot get enough of the fashion! Kelly and Ryan made the right choices from start to finish, finding the perfect balance to celebrate their love and vision without looking overly ‘seasonal’. We love the groomsmen’s dashingly traditional tuxes and how they compliment the maids, who donned grey Coren Moore ‘Lila’ dresses adorned with a black sash, red gloves and luxurious chocolate furs.
We have only one word to describe Kelly’s look for the big day- unbelievable. She purchased a beautiful Priscilla of Boston gown aptly named ‘Hepburn’, after the queen of class herself, and this gown is truly the epitome of elegance. The bejeweled illusion neckline played off of the sparkle in the bride’s eye and the gown’s traditional satin ball skirt compliment her shape (not to mention this gown was nearly a perfect fit before alterations). We love how Kelly accessorized with a simple veil, pearl clutch (both purchased at the boutique) and her own tennis bracelet and earrings- nothing more. Her clean hair style and shimmering, yet soft makeup complimented the look perfectly. Because of the time of year, Kelly also participated in our fur rental service- this was the perfect finishing touch to complete her ensemble. She must have been a true vision to her husband-to-be during their first look (take a peek at the video by Buzz Media Company below to see what we’re talking about).
