We love all weddings – but when it is a friends’ wedding, plus a collaboration of all of your favorite vendors (who are also friends!) we can’t help but fall even more in love!
Steve DePino, the groom, is an incredibly talented photographer. Steve has shot at virtually every wedding venue in Connecticut, so when it came to his own wedding, he and his fiancé Lauren Ann, wanted a venue that was totally unique. Steve was raised and still lives in charming Guilford, Connecticut, so it was important to him that all of the wedding festivities take place there. The couple planned their ceremony at Bishop’s Orchard, which was established in Guilford in 1871 and is a town landmark. When Steve and Lauren Ann were scouting the location, they noticed that there was one clear spot in the apple orchard where a tree had been removed. They decided to use that spot as their ceremony location. They wanted to get married in April, however the apple trees were not yet in bloom. Floral designer extraordinaire, Yumiko Fletcher of Hana Floral Design transformed the tree that sat right behind the ceremony site into a living tree! She and her team hand wired thousands of cherry blossoms to the tree and created the most spectacular backdrop for the ceremony!
The reception took place at The Guilford Marketplace. The Marketplace is situated in the center of town along the historic Guilford Green. This location is also a town landmark that was recently renovated to be a charming, retro market. Steve, Lauren Ann, and their son Luke are regulars, so having the reception there was a no brainer! The atmosphere is hip, laid back, and fun, just like the couple! They even coined their own whimsical hashtag for the wedding: #grocerystorewedding.
Store owner, Beth Chapman, styled the bride and was there on the day of the wedding to dress her. Lauren Ann and Steve got engaged slightly before fall bridal market. When Beth saw the Remmington gown by Hayley Paige walk down the runway, she called Lauren Ann and told her that she had found her gown. Hayley did a huge favor by shipping the gown in for Lauren Ann to try, and sure enough, it was perfection!
The wedding images below by Justin & Mary Marantz are nothing short of epic. The couple is stunningly gorgeous, and you can see their love radiating through the images! We are so happy for you Steve and L.A (and Luke).! And we were honored to have a small part in your big day!

When we saw pictures from Casey & Dave’s coastal September wedding, we just HAD to share them — especially when we saw their adorable son Dawson (we had the pleasure of meeting him during some of Casey’s fittings!) “Dave was a professional golfer, but in this case, Daddy’s Caddy stole the show in a tiny little golf cart just for him! –Julia Jane, Julia Jane Photography. Wait til you see!
We also have to point out how fabulous Casey looked in her Amy Kuschel ‘Cassidy’ gown. We can’t get enough of her earrings (vintage, The Something Old Collection.) They were the absolute perfect finishing touch! Scroll down to see more of the coastal gorgeousness.

“Meghan & Nick are the absolute sweetest human beings. Simply being around them made me want to be a better person. You can tell their love is true and they sweetly adore each other. It’s magical to watch. Their classic Boston winter wedding was nothing short of beautiful either. The State Room was the perfect setting for a cold winter’s day as the view of Boston is really stunning that time of year. We strolled through the streets of Beacon Hill to take their portraits and despite the cold they were serious troopers.” –Kelly Dillon Photography
We recently received this adorable holiday card from our bride Molly and her husband, Mook. Molly wrote the sweetest little note on the back, including the words, “I felt incredible in my dress and smiled this big all night” – something that’s very apparent in each of the following images captured by Kerry Schutz!
Thank you for the card, Molly & Mook! It was such an honor to dress you!

“The rain fell slowly and steadily, trying it’s best to dampen the mood of their day but as Alex put on her veil and final touches, she was all smiles. She may not have been able to say her vows outside atop a high hill, as she had hoped, but she knew that the only thing that mattered was that she was able to say her vows to the man of her dreams. As she walked down the aisle and turned the corner in the barn, you could see all the stress and tension of the morning melt off of Kyle’s face. It was obvious that he felt like the luckiest guy in the world as the most beautiful woman in the world walked toward him to become his wife. Kyle and Alex are the type of people who are old souls with young spirits and genuine hearts. Throughout the day Alex kept asking *me* if I was ok, if we had eaten anything…and in general just wanted to make sure that everyone around her was having an amazing time. An amazing time they did have. With the help of Top Hat Entertainment, Alex and Kyle’s reception in the barn at Mountaintop Inn and Resort was one of the best parties we’ve ever been to and it was clear that they know how to surround themselves with people who know how to have a good time. From their amazing bridal party, to their college friends, to their incredibly sweet family, I’d say that the rain didn’t hold anyone back from an amazing wedding day” -from Alicia Ann Photographers blog.
