The wedding industry waits with baited breath for Pantone to release the color of the year each January. Their selection always sets in motion trends that will influence the upcoming wedding season. This year’s color of the year was Radiant Orchid, a stunning shade of purple. I was approached by the incredibly talented photographer Katherine Harris to help her execute a shoot in New York City using this beautiful hue as our muse. Kat enlisted the assistance of the uber creative duo of Glitter and Rye and selected the absolutely coolest venue in the city- The Highline Hotel! The team decided to break from tradition and style the shoot as a wedding brunch! Our goal with this shoot was to show all of the ways that a color can be incorporated into the wedding. Tones of purple were represented through the flowers, the watercolor inspired invitations designed by Coral Pheasasnt and of course, the fashion.
