New Bridesmaids Shopping Experience!

We are thrilled to introduce a new way to order bridesmaids dresses! We developed our online shopping/payment program to allow our brides and bridesmaids to have the boutique shopping experience but with the convenience of paying online.

After visiting our boutique, brides can create an account online on our Bridesmaids Wishlist. This will allow her to select the styles that she is interested in having her maids wear. It’s a nice way for brides to keep organized, and an easy way for bridesmaids to view, select, and pay for their dresses!

Here’s how it works:

  1. After you create an account, select the desired bridesmaid designer (you can mix and match designers!)
  2. Select the dress style
  3. Click “add to Wishlist”
  4. Once you have completed your Wishlist, you can click share to e-mail your bridesmaids your selections
  5. Bridesmaids then log in under your account/wishlist, select the style that they are wearing, fill in their size, and pay!

Please keep in mind – the actual bridal party order will not be placed until we have measurements, a signed policy form and payment for all bridesmaids.

Here are some more in depth instructions:

-Create an account:

-Visit the Shop bridesmaids page

-Select the designer you are interested in

-Select your style(s) and click “add to wishlist”

-Once in the Wishlist, just click “share” and e-mail your bridesmaids your dress selections. You can always access this wishlist by clicking “Bridesmaids Wishlist” under the ordering tab out our homepage. You can always select their sizes & colors (or leave it for your bridesmaids to fill out when they log in and make payment)

Bridesmaids can then log into your account, visit the Wishlist, select the style that they are wearing, fill in their size, and pay! If bridesmaids want their dress shipped to them, there is also a convenient shipping document online.

And, as if that is not the most exciting news you have heard in a while, you can also now purchase our tulle skirts and fun gift items, like mini emergency kits and owner, Beth Chapman’s first book, The White Dress in color, from the Gifts and Essentials page of our website!

Our goal is always to provide our clients with an exceptional shopping experience.  Now, we hope to make it convenient as well!

Happy Shopping!

What We’re Loving: Giving Back for Your Wedding

We are thrilled to share our current favorite ways to give back on your special day – from purchasing a wedding gown, to decorating, to celebrating with wine & bubbly!

The first is a program created by one of our favorite San Francisco-based designers, Amy Kuschel. Each year, her team selects certain gowns to support different non-profit charities. Most recently, they announced that their ‘Boston’ gown will give back to the Trevor Project, providing crisis intervention and suicide services to LGBTQ teens and young adults. Here are some other AK gowns that give back:

‘Roxy’, San Francisco SPCA

‘Harlow’, The Sierra Club

‘Boston’, Trevor Project

Next on our list is a beautiful and unique decorative glass product, called GlassyBabies. Available for purchase and rental, glassybabies are hand-blown glass candle votives, that can also be used as vases or drinking glasses! The best part is that each vibrant color gives back to a designated charity. Lee Rhodes founded Glassybaby when as a cancer patient herself, she met other patients in waiting rooms who could not even afford the bus fare to get to their treatments. She created a simple but iconic product and an organization that donates 10% of each sale to a long list of charitable causes. This seemingly simple system has donated over $4.4 million dollars to date through their White Light Fund!

The White Dress by the shore owner and stylist, Beth Chapman, recently dressed Martha Stewart’s niece, Kristina, who incorporated the glassware into her wedding reception centerpieces.

These rich, brilliantly colored glasses make great gifts, {think Mother’s Day!} You can learn more and purchase glassybabies here.

This Napa Valley based winery was founded in 2007 with the goal of making the world a better place through beautifully crafted wine (and bubbly). We share the same philosophy that giving back is ‘good business’ and are thrilled to share ONE HOPE with you!  With the purchase of every bottle of wine, a donation is made to a specific designated charity. Additionally, private wine tastings can be arranged to support your favorite local charity where 15 % of the sales from each case sold during the tasting goes to support the local charity of your choice.  We love this idea for weddings too! You can purchase wine (or bubbly) for your event and have 15% of the case sales donated to the charity of your choosing. And of course, each bottle is still making an impact through it’s designated cause partners –meaningful charities like ASPCA, Team Rubicon, Why Hunger, among others.  Owner, Beth Chapman is a CEO or cause entrepreneur for the company, so she can answer any questions that you may have about ordering wine or brut for your wedding related events.  You can also get more information here.

The company has an extensive catalog of wine varietals, but of course, we are obsessed with these sparkling bottles of brut (c’mon…bubbles and sparkles….who could resist?!)  Here is the line up and the charities that they support:

Gold Sparkling Brute – Charity:  Why Hunger

The purchase of every bottle connects 15 meals to one hungry child in the U.S.

Rainbow Sparkling Brut – Charity: The Trevor Project

The purchase of every bottle funds one hour of operation costs for support and suicide prevention of LGBT teens in crisis.

Silver Bottle – Charity: Why Hunger

The purchase of every bottle connects 15 meals to one hungry child in the U.S.

One Hope is hosting a promotion this month and when you purchase 3 or more bottles of wine or brut, you will save 15% and enjoy free shipping.  And of course, support the designated cause partner for the varietal.  click here to purchase.

Ready…set…give back!

What We’re Loving: Clean & Simple Wedding Gown Trend

Since lace gowns have been popular for so many seasons, we find it refreshing that clean, simple, minimalistic bridal gowns are trending.

Although these gowns don’t have lace or beading, they still boast interesting silhouettes and seaming details. And as always, you can take it up a notch with some amazing accessories, really making the it your own. We like to say that these clean gowns serve as a beautiful blank slate!

Below are some of our favorite styles. Interested in giving this trend a try? Ring us at 860.669.4595!

Meet the icons who inspired Romona Keveza Legends

Its almost here! We are rapidly approaching our next Romona Keveza Legends Trunk Show, which begins Friday, March 21st and runs through Saturday, the 22nd. We couldn’t be more excited to share all of these legendary gowns with our brides – especially from a line that is inspired by our favorite style icons!

By taking iconic gowns and reinventing them into timeless creations, designer Romona Keveza interprets the luxury, glamour, and elegance of classic beauties in a fresh and modern way.

Below we have paired a few iconic bridal looks with the gowns we imagined they inspired from Romona’s Spring 2014 Collection – all of which will be available for you to try on during the trunk show!

We love how updated this Audrey Hepburn inspired bateau neckline looks! Such a refreshing take on a flattering style. Add gloves to achieve a more vintage look.

romona-keveza-legends-sophia-lorenWho wouldn’t love this lace fit to flare style with it’s off the shoulder neckline and shapely skirt – it reminds us of the always sultry Sophia Loren! Pair this style with a little bling and you’ll be sure to make a statement.

When you think of a gown inspired by Grace Kelly, it doesn’t always have to mean sleeves! We love a modern interpretation like this blush lace gown. It’s unique Alençon lace and classically tailored shape make it fit for a princess. Pair this modern look with a classic lace veil for a truly romantic feeling.

Although different in fabrication, above are both examples of a classic ball skirt.  We feel Romona’s interpretation completely embodies the effortless spirit of Jackie Kennedy. With it’s iconically cinched waist and updated sheer neckline, you’re sure to make heads turn.

Ring us at 860.669.4596 to find the gown from Romona Keveza that makes you feel like a legend on your own time!  Romona’s head of sales, Michelle Riley, will be on hand during our Saturday appointments to discuss gown customization and the nuances to this beautiful line. And don’t forget, if you purchase your gown during this trunk show you will receive a 10% discount off of your order – all the more reason to book, as appointments are filling up quickly.
