The trends that were revealed during New York bridal fashion week were all about classic, feminine details.  For 2018 bridal, it is on trend to be classicâ¦and I could not be happier!  Following are some of the most predominant trends to grace the runways.

Lady-like feminine details

There were sweet, feminine details in almost every line.  Lace, appliqués, swiss dot, and soft tulle were constants on the runway.  It is hip to be sweet for Spring 2018

Bows

I am such a sucker for a bow, so I was giddy to see them on many runways.  To me, bows never go out of style!  They were present on the front of gowns, on the back of gowns, on the shoulder, and even in the hair!

Pearls

Pearls, a bridal staple as far as I am concerned, are the detail of the moment.  They were encrusted on gowns and draped in dramatic strands across the models necks and shoulders.

Black Accents

Black accents were featured in many collections, even in those of the most classic designers.  Black adds a touch of drama and certainly can create amazing waist definition. I love the idea of adding a touch of black in an accessory for your evening reception!

Feathers

The flirty trend also showed up by way of feathers!  They were featured as accessories, but also incorporated into several gowns.  It was a dramatic touch on the runways and I think is fabulous for an avant garde bride or for a reception look!

Off-the shoulder

The hot neckline of the season is off the shoulder.  We are seeing this in ready wear to wear and it has made its way into bridal as well.  This is a wonderful alternative to strapless, as it still allows you to show your décolletage.

Pants

One of the most exciting trends was pants!  These were reflected in jumpsuits and adorable pant ensembles.  This is trend provides amazing options for same sex couples as well as for all of the bride's wedding related events.
