We are often asked about New York Bridal Fashion Week and what it is like for us! Photographer Shaunae Treske shadowed us to our Carolina Herrera appointment and got a behind the scene glimpse of a bridal market appointment. Bridal Fashion Week occurs twice a year, in April and in October. Our appointments either take place in designated hotels where multiple designers are showing or at the designer's showroom if they are New York based. If there is a runway show, generally it is on the Thursday or Friday of market and a separate 'writing appointment' takes place later in the weekend where we are able to see the gowns up close and personal and learn the details about each gown, including pricing.
We LOVE going to appointments at the House of Herrera. The showroom itself is perfectly appointed. Every detail is impeccable! There are always lovely sweet treats to enjoy and they serve the MOST delicious iced cappuccino. This market we even caught a glimpse of Mrs. Herrera herself, who popped into our appointment to say hello! ...and YES, we all swooned! We wish every market appointment could be as glamorous!
