At our boutique in Clinton, CT we have a bridesmaid atelier, Chic by the shore, behind our boutique, where we carry four bridesmaids designers Hayley Paige Occasions, Jenny Yoo and Lula Kate. We also offer a service called a Bridesmaid Soiree! Where you can come in on a Sunday (a day where we are typically not open for business) with all your bridesmaids and pick them out the perfect party of gowns. We also offer bridesmaids appointments, that are 90 minutes in our bridesmaid's atelier, Chic by the shore, where the bride and her bridesmaids can work with one of our stylists, take a look at our selection of dresses and try on their favorites!
Not only do we love to help style our brides, but their whole party as well!
We recently asked our Instagram followers if they had any questions about bridesmaids, so we wrote them down here, for you!
Q: Best bridesmaids dresses to pair with a lace fit and flare?
A: Today in bridesmaids world, anything goes! Your bridesmaids dresses are a great way to show off your personality and taste, during your wedding! I would start by picking a color palette that you are loving and go from there! Then decide if you want to stay with all the same color or mix and match! Things like time of year and formality will help to dictate things like fabrics, colors, and styles!
Q: I have bridesmaids of all different shapes and sizes. What size samples do you have?
A: We carry sample sizes anywhere from 2-26! We then measure each bridesmaid and order the dresses in their size!
Q: What's the best way to go about ordering when you have bridesmaids not in the area?
A: We have an online portal! The bride can set up each bridesmaid in their party in the portal and everyone can complete everything online!
Q: I have 11 maids! Eek! Should I bring them all in at once to shop?
A: We suggest coming in first with your maid of honor, or just a few maids, so that you can narrow down what colors or patterns you are looking for and then pick out dresses that you love. Then have the whole group come in to try on from your selected favorites! It would also be smart to bring everyone in during a Bridesmaids Soiree, so that you have more time together in the store! Q: I love the idea of mix and match but need help coordinating?
A: No worries! If you request an appointment to come in for bridesmaids, you will be working with one of our stylists who can help you pick out shades, dresses, and fabrics that will pair well together!
