In celebration of our Couture Bridal Event, which runs through Saturday the 24th, we are teaming up with the best Connecticut event planners in a new series!  Each day we will pair a beautiful couture gown with the perfect venue and the planner will weigh in on why the match works so well. Be sure to check the blog daily for the latest pairing!       In the final days of this event we are pleased to feature event planner, Sixpence for your Shoe with a pairing that is the epitome of elegance. Amsale's 'Waldorf' gown with its delicate hand embroyedered motif is imagined at the Wadsworth Mansion for an affair not soon to be forgotten. Take a peek at the inspiration board below to see Sixpence's suggestions for invitations, decor, flowers and more! twd-scroll-break-forblog "The Wadsworth Mansion at Long Hill Estate is the type of venue that little girls (and big girls too!) dream about. Boasting a mysterious yet inviting driveway and a majestic presence, grand ballrooms and rolling rear lawn, the mansion is a magnificent location to celebrate old world, dinner party ambiance.  The Amsale dress, with it's structured silhouette, yet feminine embroidered detailing, is a wonderful compliment to a romantic, Gatsby-esq soiree at the Wadsworth Mansion. We suggest paring this gown with fabulously sparkly ankle strap shoes, the perfect pink lip, ethereal maids dresses, classic tuxes, and neutral florals incorporating soft textures such as lambs ear and lisianthus.   Tables will be dressed with brocade linen, beaded or gold chargers and layers of gilt accented china.  A draped tent with vintage crystal chandeliers hung at a variety of heights offer a fanciful canopy of bling, for sweethearts to dance the night away.
