In celebration of our Couture Bridal Event, which runs through Saturday the 24th, we are teaming up with the best Connecticut event planners in a new series!  Each day we will pair a beautiful couture gown with the perfect venue and the planner will weigh in on why the match works so well. Be sure to check the blog daily for the latest pairing!   Today we are featuring a post by  planner Sarah True of TRUE event that was featured yesterday on Style Me Pretty! Sarah choose the Ocean House in Watch Hill, RI as the setting for Amsale's classicly coastal 'Chelsea' gown. Scroll below for Sarah's commentary, and a few thoughts from The White Dress by the shore owner and stylist, Beth Chapman on why these choices work so well from a fashion perspective.

The dress is one of the most important details for the wedding day and one every bride dreams of. And I would say for most of our brides it is the highlight of the planning process. It captures a moment in time and a feeling for guests that not only will they get when they arrive at the venue but a feeling we hope to carry through all of the details starting with the dress.   This dress by Amsale defines timeless elegance. It is classic and sophisticated in a subtle way, as is the Ocean House. It has a warmth about it without being over the top, it is simply gorgeous! Using this dress and the Ocean house as inspiration Iâd create a color palette of blues (cool tones)for the linens/bridesmaids dresses etc, that would play on the colors of the ocean and bring in a mix of metallics silver and gold in the candles and china and glassware on the tables, and in the florals bring in soft peach, whites, and greens. Softly weaving into the details accents of the beach. Using capiz shell chandeliers throughout the tent, lined with soft white fabric. I think this coastal wedding would be the perfect blending of coastal timeless elegance. With one of the most gorgeous backdrops on the east coast the Ocean House is the perfect venue to create this sophisticated elegant, coastal affair! Bio:  Sarah True has always had a passion for design, but it was New York City that she really launched her career goals into high gear. Driven by the fast pace and the energy of so many creative people, she found opportunities to study side-by-side with some of the most talented floral designers in the industry, at the renowned Parsons School of Design. Working with flowers gave her so much insight into the impact of color, texture and fragrance and how those elements can transform an event into something magical and memorable. She loves working with people. She loves making them laugh. She loves working hard to execute their vision for the perfect event. She loves designing unique and gorgeous events that reflect their own personal style and that are as unique as they are. It makes her job very rewarding and puts a smile on her face every day. Not everyone can say that their job is their passion â Sarah is lucky that her job is her dream come true. twd-scroll-break-forblog The White Dress by the shore owner and styling, Beth Chapman, gave a fashion perspective on Style Me Pretty, "We selected the Chelsea gown from Amsale as the perfect look for the Ocean House. The classic silhouette is ideal for the quintessential New England setting. The silk faille fabric is crisp and clean and possesses a timeless quality, that lends itself beautifully to this venue."
