I love preppy and I love pink, so this photo shoot was a dream come true to style! This shoot took place the week that the Ocean House re-opened. It was such a treat to be there as a beautiful historical gem was revealed after its glorious face-lift! We were thrilled to have the shoot featured last week on Style Me Pretty.
The concept for the shoot was created by Candice Coppola of Jubilee Events who shares her take on the inspiration and the wonderful creative team we had the opportunity to collaborate with. From Jubilee Eventsâ¦"We had so much fun designing this brightly colored, playful and fun styled shoot inspired by croquet! In shades of coral, bright blue and grey, we drew inspiration from the vintage croquet set I picked up at a flea market in Massachusetts. Our tables cape was draped in a gorgeous coral pea de soie linen with clean and modern ghost chairs from Rentals Unlimited. Datura: A Modern Garden created a dramatic floral centerpiece using old, vintage marble lamp bases. We played on our theme of prep and used bow ties in the paper and real ties as chair decor."
When planning the fashion for the shoot, I went preppy all the way! Seersucker, docksiders and printed bow ties from Southern Proper for the groom and a sweet lace gown with a blush underlay from Modern Trousseau for the bride. The floral accents created by Datura: a modern garden really were the piece de resistance. Can you say, floral pocket square?!! Just incredible! If this shoot does not make you long for warm summer days, I donât know what will!
