We're honored to invite you to our Mother-Daughter Tea, a one-of-a-kind event created to celebrate cherished memories while creating new ones with the next generation.
Join us on July 12th from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM for an unforgettable afternoon of portraits, tea, treats, and meaningful moments shared between mothers and daughters.
Below, you'll find everything you need to know about the event, including what to bring, gown preservation information, arrival details, and more.
Do I need to be a White Dress by the Shore bride?
While we cherish every bride, this event has been created especially for our TWD brides. If you purchased your gown elsewhere, we'd be happy to add you to our waitlist. Simply email info@thewhitedressbytheshore.com and we'll reach out if a Legacy Pass becomes available.
What does my Legacy Pass include?
Your $35 Legacy Pass includes admission for one mother and one daughter, a professional portrait session with Justin & Mary Marantz, tea and treats, and access to our garden celebration.
We're also honored to share that a portion of all proceeds from this special event will benefit the Terri Brodeur Breast Cancer Foundation, making this celebration of family, legacy, and love even more meaningful.
Is there an age limit?
While we adore little ones, this event is designed for daughters ages 5 and older.
Can additional guests attend?
Due to the intimate nature of this event and limited capacity, each Legacy Pass includes admission for one mother and one daughter only.
What time should we arrive?
We will reach out to you based on when you reserved your ticket to determine what time you should arrive! Our team will be on hand to steam your gown and ensure it is portrait-ready before sessions begin. Portrait sessions are scheduled in 10-minute increments, allowing every family their dedicated time with Justin & Mary Marantz.
How long is the event?
The Mother-Daughter Tea will take place from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM. Guests are welcome to enjoy tea, treats, and our garden throughout the event when not participating in their portrait session.
Is there anything I should bring?
Please bring your wedding gown to the event. If your gown is preserved, we recommend bringing it in its preservation box.
To make the moment even more special, you're welcome to bring a framed wedding photo if you'd like it included in your daughter's portrait. You may also bring any meaningful accessories you'd like incorporated into your portraits.
What should we wear?
We encourage both mothers and daughters to dress comfortably while keeping photos in mind. If Mom plans to be in any portraits, we recommend wearing an outfit you'd love to be photographed in.
For daughters, we suggest wearing shorts and a fitted tank top or camisole that can be easily removed if they're wearing a strapless gown. This will help ensure a comfortable fit while allowing the dress to shine in photos.
Will I have to re-preserve my wedding gown?
Yes. If your gown is currently preserved, removing it from its preservation box for the event will require re-preservation and re-boxing afterward. Re-preservation and re-boxing is available for $75. If your gown has not yet been cleaned and preserved, we are offering exclusive event pricing of $475 for professional cleaning and preservation.
Are gown preservation services available?
Yes. Gown cleaning, preservation, and re-preservation services are available for an additional fee and are offered at exclusive event pricing for event participants.
What if my daughter doesn't fit into my wedding gown?
That's perfectly okay! This event is about celebrating your family's story and creating memories together. Our team will work with each family to create a meaningful portrait experience.
How will I receive my portrait?
Your portrait will be professionally edited and emailed to you following the event. We can't wait for you to see these special memories come to life.
Is this event rain or shine?
Yes! The Mother-Daughter Tea will take place rain or shine. While we plan to enjoy tea and treats in our garden, accommodations will be made in the event of inclement weather. All portrait sessions will take place indoors.
Where do we park?
Complimentary parking is available in The White Dress boutique lot. If our lot reaches capacity, additional parking is available nearby at Liberty Square.
Will photos and videos be taken during the event?
Yes! Our Marketing Coordinator will be capturing photo and video content throughout the day. Attendees may appear in images or footage used on our social media channels and future promotional materials.
