I was provided the opportunity to style the editorial spread for The Connecticut Brideâs Fall/Winter 2011 issue.  My vision was to shoot in various historic locations in Hartford, our state capital, and to feature gowns by Connecticut based designer Modern Trousseau. The images in this inspiration page were captured at The Old State House, The Society Room and at The Gershon Fox Room, an art deco inspired venue that is located on the ground floor of the Old G. Fox building.  G. Fox was a family owned department store, that in its hay day was the place to shop in Connecticut!  It holds a very special place in my heart, as my grandmother worked there for over 20 years. When selecting the fashion for this shoot I chose classic pieces with a regal feel. Being that we were shooting for the fall/winter shoot we featured several beautiful fur options by Modern Trousseau.  I especially had funs with the gloves, as they are such a lady-like accessory. They are a wedding fashion item that I would love to see reemerge as a trend! To see the other historic locations and gowns that we shot, be sure to check out the video below!
