Musings of a Stylist: Sassy Stripes As Seen In Bliss Celebrations Magazine

When Candice of Jubilee Events and I were approached by our creative partners at Bliss Celebrations Magazine to style the cover editorial for their next issue, we immediately started dreaming up all sorts of fabulous possibilities. We selected coral with touches of gold, pink and yellow as our main color palette and were inspired by a preppy and whimsical (Palm Beach meets Kate Spade) overall feel .Â It is no secret that I am obsessed with all things striped, so I set out to find a coral striped bridesmaid dress to be a focal point for the shoot .Â I found the perfect dress that helped to set the tone through a chic company called Kirribilla.Â I paired the Kirribilla dress with a subtlety striped bridal gown from Hailey Paige (because you can never have too many stripes)!Â Â I was so fortunate to work with an absolute dream team of talents on this shoot who each brought such a unique spin to the overall concept.Â Nichole of Coral Pheasant partnered with Candice to pull together some of the most adorable details I have ever seen!Â From sweet heart shaped pillows to baby bottles of St. Germaine with striped straws, to the most creative out of town bagsâit was all precious perfection!Â Our friends at Ryan Designs created a custom bar that knocked our socks off and Diane Gaudette put together one of the most dramatic floral displays we have seen! In addition to the stripes, we decided to add touches of pineapple details throughout the shoot.Â Nichole designed a fun pineapple print that we carried through all of the details from the liner of the invitation, to the gift bags, to the grooms bow tie.Â Â We had the patterned fabric printed through Spoonflower.com and my talented in-house seamstress custom made the tie! When planning your wedding, your inspiration came come from anywhere!Â The key is to be sure that it reflects your personality and from there, the sky is the limit!
