We just returned from New York Bridal Fashion Week and what a week it was!  I have said it before, but it really holds true nowâ¦what a great time to be a bride! There is literally a gown for EVERY bride and I am thrilled because so many of the trends are everything that I adore in bridal!  Below are some of our favorite trends coming up for the Fall 2018 season!

Non strapless!

Brides are rejoicing everywhere, because it is all about the NON-strapless neckline.  The most predominate necklines that we saw were v-necks and off the shoulder necklines. The v-necklines varied from demure and classic to plunging and daring.

Bows

I would put a bow on every gown if I could!  So naturally, I was thrilled to see bows grace so many runways!

Capes, Cover ups and Overskirts

Designers are providing brides with various options to allow them to change up their look from ceremony to reception.  Whether it is a dramatic cape, a voluminous overskirt, or a dainty caplet, brides have plenty of options for surprising their guests with a "second look", without having to change their gown!

Appliqués

We saw considerably less lace this season.  The texture instead came from appliqués.  I adore this romantic and feminine detail!

Clean and Simple

Many designers were cleansing the palate by offering completely clean dresses (and jumpsuits!).  They showed that less was definitely more! The details came from beautiful necklines, seaming details.... or bows!

Fringe

One of the biggest fashion elements that appeared on several runways was fringe. What a fun way to add a little sass to your wedding day look!

One Shoulder

The one shoulder gown is back!   I love this sophisticated look for a modern, elegant wedding.
