Here are a few words from our friend and photog - extraordinaire, Carla Ten Eyck about the entire shoot and it's overall inspiration:
"Our creative team travelled to Playa del Carmen, Mexico for a fashion inspired, destination wedding shoot. Our goal was to show brides many different fashion options that are appropriate for a destination wedding. We styled our model in different looks from classic and demure to sultry and dramatic. According to stylist, Beth Chapman, âfashion choices for a destination wedding are endless, as long as the fabric of your gown is lightweight and weather appropriateâ.
As one of our locations was the Balinese inspired luxury resort, El Taj, several of our fashion looks had an exotic, Indonesian feel to them. We used bright colors inspired by the Mexican culture, landscape and architecture throughout each shoot, incorporated either through the fashion, make up, flowers or the décor. Designer Ivy & Aster created a custom laser cut lace gown with a soft, blush underlay which was inspired by the delightful surroundings of Playa del Carmen."
Stay tuned to the blog because early next week we will be revealing Part II of this destination wedding extravaganza!
