What a whirl wind of a day! I was up at 3, in the make-up chair at 4, and live on tv every half hour from 5:15-8 on WTNH/My TV 9. Afterward, we hosted a royal wedding viewing party with some of the industries brightest talents and our lovely brides.  To watch a sneak peek of the footage from today, click here. When I saw Kate (Princess Catherine) glide down the aisle of Westminster Abbey, I was breathless! I felt like it was my own wedding day! She looked absolutely stunning in a long sleeve lace accented gown designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen.  It was reminiscent of Princess Grace's gown and certainly reached every single expectation that I had of its beauty!  I  made predictions about what she might wear and was pleased to see that she did not disappoint! I was thrilled to see that Kate chose a sleeved silhouette for her gown. It was the appropriate choice for The Abbey. I was also happy to see that she wore a traditional blusher over her face and selected a gown with a long train. What I admire about Kate is that she chose a gown and wedding details that were in line with tradition, but also reflective of her personal style. I loved Pippaâs choice of a bridesmaid dress. It was modern, elegant and sophisticated. I foresee a lot of brides wanting to recreate that look for their wedding gown! I adored that all of the attendants were in a shade of ivory. It was not only elegant, but completely fresh. The flower girls were absolutely precious. I was enamored with the fact that the flower girl attire was reminiscent of that of Dianaâs wedding. I imagine that they made that selection as an homage to her. This wedding will signify a change in the wedding industry. It will bring back all things lady-like and elegant. We will begin to see more classic formal gowns, traditional veils, gloves and hats! What a thrill!   Stay tuned to the blog for additional media coverage and images from our viewing soiree! Catherine and Williamâs wedding was reportedly viewed by over 2 billion people worldwide.  Citizens around the world have always been in enthralled with the royal family,  but this wedding came at the perfect time.  With all that is going on in the world including economic woes, natural disasters and civil unrest, it gave the world a brief distraction.  It was wonderful to get lost in the fairytale, even for a few hours.
