If you are a New England bride looking for coastal chic or nautical wedding ideas and inspiration, you are in the right place as we are happy to be sharing another real wedding inspiration post featuring one of our The White Dress By The Shore brides. This summer wedding in Newport, Rhode Island is full of "something blue" details and elegant nautical decor, not to mention effortlessly chic bridal style. If you are searching for a classic wedding gown with modern details, you won't want to miss the timeless wedding dress our TWD bride chose for her coastal summer wedding day.
For a timeless and effortless wedding day style, our TWD bride Gina chose the Austin wedding dress from the Made with Love collection. This elegant, fitted wedding dress is flattering on any bride. The crepe fabric features a delicate drape through the waistline that adds shape to the otherwise sleek silhouette. A dramatic v-neckline is balanced by a draped cowl back for modern touches to this classic silhouette. The cowl back draping might be our favorite detail for those brides looking for a little extra drama while still keeping an overall timeless style. A chapel train adds to the traditional bridal feeling of this simple wedding dress. A simple tulle wedding veil and a "something blue" bridal bouquet completed our bride's elegant coastal wedding style.
A fun fact: the bride's new last name is Austin which is also the name of the wedding gown she chose - it was destiny!
Adding to the "something blue" color palette of this wedding day, Gina's bridesmaids wore mix and match style blue and white floral chinoiserie bridesmaids dresses. We love a patterned bridesmaids dress for a bit of added interest and these floral dresses perfectly matched the preppy coastal vibes of this summer wedding day.
Preppy nautical details continued throughout the wedding day. The outdoor wedding ceremony overlooked Newport Harbor. Guests were greeted with a custom escort card wall display with a nautical chart of Rhode Island Sound. The tented wedding reception featured hanging rattan lanterns and greenery along with pops of blue from the glassware and table linens.
