After months of anticipation, we're absolutely thrilled to reveal something we've been working on here at The White Dress by the Shore in Clinton, CT!
We're so excited to launch our private label collection of sustainable Little White Dresses called “The One”. A current trend in bridal is for brides to wear a little white dress to all of their wedding-related events, whether that be their engagement party, bridal shower, rehearsal dinner, reception, or the after party. We are launching a collection of white dresses to meet those needs, but that also has a special impact!
Just after celebrating our 19th anniversary of being in the business of bridal, we have had to say goodbye to our long-time seamstress, Penny Barone. Penny decided to retire from altering wedding gowns but still has a passion for the craft. After years of dreaming about designing her own collection of dresses, she proposed the idea of creating a collection of little white dresses from the remnants of fabric that we had collected in our bridal alterations studio over the years! With this in mind, Penny has designed a capsule of 20 little white dresses and each one is unique-- every dress is simply hand-cut and one-of-a-kind! We love that these little white dresses are sustainable, in that they are using fabric that may have otherwise been discarded.
We also love that each bride who purchases them will be the only one to EVER wear that dress in that fabric. And of course, our sweet Penny is able to pursue her dream and creative passion of creating a line of dresses for our amazing brides!
