We love it when a bride comes to her wedding dress shopping appointment knowing what she is looking for, and that was exactly the case with TWD bride, Michelle. Michelle knew she wanted a clean and classic bridal gown to match the vibe of her summer wedding in Newport, full of coastal charm details, and decor.
Bride, Michelle, and her groom, Casey, planned a late summer wedding at The Bohlin in Newport, Rhode Island. Knowing that she wanted a classic style wedding dress with some modern flair, Michelle was drawn to the MP gown by Antonio Gual. This was the first bridal gown that Michelle tried on during her wedding dress shopping appointment and sometimes when you know, you know! Michelle's light silk shantung wedding gown features a lovely scooped neckline with bias-ruched detailing. The pleated skirt of her wedding dress hid a deep slit, adding a little leg peekaboo moment for a fun and flirty bridal style. Michelle accessorized her minimalist-style wedding gown with a crystal-embellished bridal belt and floral lace detailed wedding veil.
TWD bride, Michelle, shares this about her wedding day:
"When designing our wedding space, we really wanted to encapsulate the summery New England coastal charm that Newport has to offer. We tried to bring that through in our wedding color palette of light blue, ivory, green, and lots of flowers! Our flower and signage wedding vendors were super important in helping elevate the wedding venue space. Our favorite details include our guest seating chart and flower trellis above the head table!"
We love all the "something blue" details that were incorporated into Michelle and Casey's wedding day. From groom Casey's light blue groom's suit to the blue flowers peeking out of Michelle's bridal bouquet to the blue florals in the lush wedding ceremony arch and wedding reception centerpieces. The show-stopping detail of this wedding day though has to be the hanging floral trellis over the head table at the wedding reception - just gorgeous!

"I actually chose The White Dress by the shore as my bridal salon specifically for the MP wedding dress by Antonio Gual. I knew I wanted a classic, clean, timeless gown to match the vibe of Newport, RI but was also looking for something with a little flair. The minute I set eyes on a photo of the MP style bridal dress, I knew I had to see it! It was the first dress I tried on at my TWD bridal appointment, and despite trying on a handful of other shapes and styles, I was sold on MP. The fabric layering and pointed neckline on the bodice, dramatic slit in the skirt, and addition of pockets (who doesn't love pockets!) were exactly the types of fun & flirty touches I was looking for."
